Following our win in the 2004 Popular Hot Rodding Engine Masters Challenge with Jon Kaase using both CHI heads and 4500 Dominator Manifold, we set about looking for a suitable base for the development of our 2V & 4V Street Master Cylinder Heads.

In order to develop intake ports of equal calibre to our world renowned 3V cylinder heads, we wanted to work with a company that not only had the very latest computer aided development and testing equipment, but a proven track record with the famous Cleveland power plant.

CHI could look no further than Australia's leading CNC porting experts, Kostecki Engine Centre In Perth Western Australia, to help with required research and development.

Kostecki Engine Centre is one of the few companies out side of North America to have a complete facility under one roof including 5 axis simultaneous CNC Port machining, Super flow 901 Computerized engine dyno, Superflow 1020 Computerized flow bench.

Most importantly though when looking for Research and Development results, we wanted a proven Cleveland powered performer from whom to draw experience. Team Kostecki campaign their own very successful Cleveland powered Mustang drag racing in the extremely competitive Super Stock G/gas Category. Their Mustang was the first in its class to run in the 8.30s and have set the national record at 8.44et at over 157mph with a single 750 carb and cast iron 4Vs making over 700 naturally aspirated horsepower from just 350ci !!!

By utilizing KEC's extensive track experience as well as in house development facilities, CHI is proud to announce the all new Street Master 2V cylinder head.

At just 190cc in port volume the all new 2V flows a massive 307cfm at just .650"lift, with 300cfm at .600lift (figures taken from as cast head with a 2.100" valve), taking the 2V head to a new level of performance, never before available from a standard intake port location and size.

1. Standard Intake port locations will fit ALL 2V factory style intake manifolds GUARANTEED and our UNI exhaust port allows the use of either 2V or 4V factory exhaust manifolds.

2. 300cfm of airflow at just .600" lift.

3. 3V combustion chamber provides the most efficient burn characteristics and detonation control on the market today.

4. All new 220+cfm "UNI" Exhaust Port will fit either 2V or 4V headers with NO port matching, and features true Standard Height Exhaust Port & bolt locations.

5. 5/8" Thick Deck for positive head gasket retention and ideal for all nitrous and blown applications.

6. Standard head bolt lengths.

7. Fully CNC machined in house.

Description:

Owners of raised dome, high compression pistons to suit 4V closed chamber heads, can now order CHI heads with a 4V CNC chamber. Our 4V CNC chambers are 74cc in volume and retain our relocated spark plug location. These can also be ordered as an option by people that require increased chamber volumes for blown or stroker applications. The need to replace those high compression 4V pistons is now a thing of the past.

Description:

Although we CNC all our chambers as part of our manufacturing process, the step over we use is.030". This allows us to economically add this process to all our cylinder heads without adding any further expense.

For customers that want the ultimate in CNC finish we also offer a .020" super fine step over CNC chamber option. The CNC program like our standard program, gives our standard deck height heads, a chamber volume of approximately 68-70cc (depending on valve choice), with a much smoother finish.

Also available are small chamber options where we "lift" the chamber in the cylinder head so you don't have to mill down the deck face. This option will add a further $100USD and or $150 AUD to the cost of the fine step-over program. Please call or email to discuss this option further, as there are many chamber volumes we can accommodate.

This complete Street cylinder head package comes with Ferrea 5000 series, stainless steel valves with hard chromed stems. We use Isky Chrome-Molly-7 Degree Retainers, Isky Machined Valve Locks (not the cheaper stamped steel versions), and Isky 805-DO valve springs.

This package is ideal for hydraulic camshafts to 230@.050 with.570"lift, or small solids up to 230@.050and .570"lift that are street driven regularly. Heads are finished of with matching Isky hardened spring pad locators to positively locate the valve spring and Viton valve stem seals for unsurpassed oil control.
